Changing your mindset and counting your blessings.

March 20, 2021

Being happy and prosperous is something we all aspire to be. It’s very likely that when asked, “what’s your aim in life?” most of our answers will be to have happiness and prosper. But on some level, these small and modest goals seem light-years away.
The good and bad news is this- it’s all in our head, even when it seems impossible, to look on the bright side of things. We have the power to transform the way we think and see life.Changing your mindset takes work because it’s formed habits that aren’t easy to break. So your philosophy begins with your belief system, and you can’t live beyond that. Mindset formed through prior experiences and emotional milestones, and the philosophies that aren’t producing the results you want are called counter-mindsets. Some examples of these are self-doubt, limiting your beliefs, and any other negative thoughts that get in the way of your fulfillment.
We have around 65,000 thought that goes through our minds each day. In Matthew 4:17, it says, “From that time Jesus began to preach and say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” The word repents means to change your mindset. Our belief systems are compelling.
For example, when people use the word broken. Here’s my point of view. When you drop an egg, it breaks. The wine glass can also break when you drop it. And sometimes, when something violates, and the pieces are large enough, they can be fixed.  So for us humans, we shouldn’t use the word broken on ourselves.
The word broken is powerful. Instead of using the broken on us, let us operate the word confused, hurt, sad, and feeling lost.We can often get confused when we go through trials and tribulations.Let’s change our words and mindsets today, and see what the universe brings to our lives along with the blessings from our heavenly father.
Counting our blessings, we often worry about things beyond our control. Stuff we can’t control, such as our business failing or losing our jobs. Those are minor things.People have health issues, and some people don’t even get to see another day. People are dying every day.
When you wake up each day, be grateful and give thanks to God. Each day you are alive and healthy; praise God because tomorrow is not promised.Live today like you’re going to die tomorrow, put one foot in front of the other and keep living.
Laugh at the craziest stupid things like taking the wrong train and ending up at the city’s lousy part. Be optimistic. It’s essential to have a positive attitude, a positive attitude brings you positive things, and negative mindsets bring you negative things. What you send out to the universe is what comes back to you.
Stay strong and positive no matter what storms you face in life. The storms come to test your strength and foundation, but when you trust in God, no amount that comes from east and west can knock you down. Remember to always put God first in every aspect of your life. Trust me. God has the power to show you that He’s God. I am a living testimony of that.
Deuteronomy 31:6,8 Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them because it’s the Lord your God who goes before you. He is with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
Stay safe and be blessed.
